Windows Administrator - RDS & Migration

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 - 𝐑𝐃𝐒 & 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨, 𝐈𝐋 (𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞) 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: The Windows Administrator will support the build, configuration, and administration of Microsoft RDS environment and assist in application migration from Citrix XenApp to RDS. The role involves hands-on work across Windows server environments and virtualisation platforms. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: - Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft RDS components like Session Hosts, RD Gateway & Web Access, Connection Broker. - Support RDS platform build and deployment on Windows Server 2022. - Assist in application migration from Citrix XenApp to RDS. - User acceptance testing support. - Perform server build, patching, and hardening activities. - Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of RDS environment. - Configure and manage FSLogix profiles, App-V publishing (if applicable). - Work with virtualization platforms like VMware and Nutanix infrastructure build/configuration. - Provide support for Performance tuning, Incident and problem management. - Participate in migration waves and cutover activities. - Migration activities typically include assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration validation of applications. 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: - Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022) - Experience supporting Microsoft RDS environments. - Basic understanding of Citrix XenApp / Virtual Apps. - Understanding and Hands-on experience on VMware (vCenter, ESXi), Nutanix AHV. - Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy. - Strong troubleshooting skills. 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞: - FSLogix configuration experience - App-V knowledge (optional) - PowerShell scripting - Experience in patching tools (WSUS / SCCM) 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬: - Execution-oriented and hands-on - Strong troubleshooting ability - Team collaboration - Process adherence
